- Begin your family devo time with a prayer asking God to focus everyone’s attention on Him together. Feel free to have one of your kids pray!
- Say this week’s Gospel statement out loud together (in the picture above!)…feel free to have your family say it along with you, or repeat short phrases. Our goal is to memorize this phrase by the end of the week!
- BIBLE TIME: Read John 17:1-5 & 24 out loud together.
- Challenge your children who are old enough to read to follow along in their own physical Bibles.
- Family Discussion: What does Jesus say eternal life is is John 17:3?
- Do we have to wait until we die and go to heaven to know God through His Son, Jesus?
- Remember yesterday’s theological concept: “Already, but not yet!” How does John 17:24 point to the “not yet” aspect of eternal life?
- Take turns praying as a family. Praise God that we can know Him today…we can experience eternal life NOW!
- THIS WEEK‘S CHALLENGE: Have each family member share out loud about one person who needs to hear that God is holy and created us to be with Him, our sins separate us from Him, no good work takes away the stain of sin, that Jesus paid for our sins by dying and rising again, everyone who trusts Jesus alone with their entire life has eternal life, and that life with Jesus starts NOW and goes on forever into eternity!
