We are diligently seeking God's will in the search for our next pastor. By the time you read this we will have met several times. So far we have surveyed the membership and the church staff for input that will be helpful as we begin our prayerful search. We have met with the Coordinator of Interim Church Services of the Baptist General Convention of Texas who offered many helpful suggestions. We are formulating profiles of our church and our community to provide information about us to our pastoral prospects. We have been actively soliciting resumes for several weeks and have received submissions from all across Texas and other states.

Our committee wants to reassure Faith Baptist Church that we take our responsibilities seriously, that we are seeking God's will prayerfully, and that we are working cooperatively and harmoniously. But we also want you to be patient as this process will take some time. We also ask you to lift us up in prayer as often as you can.

In coming weeks you will be updated in several ways. We will have committee members provide updates from the pulpit from time to time. Reports such as this one will be published in the church newsletter periodically. We want everyone to be informed of our activities within the limits of confidentiality.  

So in summary, our church is blessed with godly, robust and representative group of men and women who have humbly submitted themselves to search for our next pastor, to seek to fulfill the needs of our congregation, and to successfully complete the task for which we have been chosen, but most of all to seek to obey and glorify our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, and His Holy Spirit.
